We headed to the top of this mountain which is believed to be the place where Lot and Abraham separated. Next we roam into this cave and listened to the story of the birth of Jesus Christ the Messiah.

He came right to the middle of our mess - God sent a helpless baby to dirt-poor young Jews under suspicious circumstances, and he was born in an animal shelter. No fireworks for everyone to see; it happened under the nose of a fabulously wealthy, power-hungry genius.
"Light of the world, You stepped out into darkness,
Opened my eyes, let me see..."
Peretz - burst forth/dynamite. The Messiah has dynamite in his blood! 'But to you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will break out leaping, like calves released from the stall.' Mal'akhi. Read the rest of this in Malachi ch. 4, it is really awesome!
One (of many) of my favorite teachings: A young couple, Mary, still a girl by our standards, a dirty cave, a tiny babe and a ruthless king.
Also what Melissa mentioned: PERETZ! In Micah 2 it says: "I will bring them together like sheep in a pen... they will break through the gate and go out. EXPLODE!... That the World May Know...
P.S. I can't help but mention the bus ride up there. Sitting on the left side by the window:( WOW - God is Awesome and Igal is a really good bus driver :)
Here my heart went out to Mary so young, so alone, so far from home, in a dirty old cave, with a man she probably didn’t know very well giving birth to her first child. I can’t even imagine how she felt! But yet He is our savior our redeemer and our KING!!!
Yes, I never want to forget what that cave smelled like! Could He have come to any lowlier place? Was He trying to say that no heart is too unclean or to low to come to Him?
Didn't we sing "O come all ye faithful" here?
