Day 9 Jordan

Remember the hiking bags at the chow hall by Galilee? This morning was so refreshing as we all jumped into the Jordan river. I still have 2 stones from there. How can you forget Verna's facial expression after she was baptized in the river Jordan. Seeing Vernon and Verna both becoming Anabaptist was a special moment. Let me share this wonderful Quote;
"Trials=Uncomfortable Grace.....God will take you where you do not want to go to produce in you what you could not achieve on your own!"

Remember the rush and strength of the water it could almost have taken me over!! I remember thinking as I stepped in, that this water could carry anything away like the blood of Jesus carries our sins far from us!! And also stepping in, in faith that God will do the miracle (even though it’s not always how we think it should be)!!!!!!

P.s. I miss reading all the comments on here!!!

Thanks Roy for faithfully posting these pictures. My heart is so drawn to those moments in Israel, whenever I see the pictures again and read the post and comments. I remember the comment Kathy made about feeling so "clean" after that time in the water. I still like to do Mikveh since I'm at home, although I often forget, but every time I do, it is so powerful...a powerful symbol of repenting of the sins of our head, heart, hands, and feet, and of consecrating ourselves to God.

Yes, what wonderful memories! Cleansed from head to feet... and I'm thinking of where we went next and how thankful I was for those wet feet!
