After the Sinai story we walked across the desert to the Tabernacle. Remember the wedding was at Sinai. Now the Tabernacle. Menorah? What about moving this 1500# ark? There is so much to learn from this Tabernacle. We could probably have a lesson a week on this for a year and not get done. Give us your thoughts. The important aspect for me is that this structure is not good enough for God, that's why he redeemed me so he can live in me with power! Bless God!

Day 3 Lesson 9 Tabernacle
After the Sinai story we walked across the desert to the Tabernacle. Remember the wedding was at Sinai. Now the Tabernacle. Menorah? What about moving this 1500# ark? There is so much to learn from this Tabernacle. We could probably have a lesson a week on this for a year and not get done. Give us your thoughts. I remember the incredible heat that day! I also loved how RVL brought out the other weekend in Morgantown that we don't carry the ark-the ark carries us. There was no way, humanly speaking, that the priests could carry that heavy thing, but they really didn't-it carried them! When we get so burdened down and think we can't go another step-remember God carries us, He doesn't want us bogged down with cares & heartaches, He wants to carry our burdens!
The Tabernacle....the space people could make for God to come dwell in, in all His glory! Wasn't that a miracle??? Yet, how miraculous, too, that He comes to call me His temple! I can't get my mind around it, I choose to let it speak to my heart, and draw me ever closer to Him. I want all the sweetest of His glory to completely take over in this temple---that the world may know!!!
God wanted the Israelites to create a space for Him. Now we are the temple and He asks, Will you make space for me?
The Tabernacle lesson was such a beautiful lesson to complete the one on the marriage covenant. His marriage to Israel was not just some vague theological idea, but he actually wanted to dwell with them and asked them to create the space! And they gave their best to do that.Wonder of wonders, he actually dwells within me, His temple, and He's still asking me to make the "space", to give him the best of my resources:energy, money, and time, especially time with the text. Too often I've given him my "leftover space".

I've been challenged again by your comments. Blessed be Adonai for this community. As I read I was reminded of something, we are each a part of the body, right? It takes all of us to make the body complete then. So therefore, does it not take each of us to be the "temple of God?" Or are we each an individual temple?
Shalom to you as you stay dusty
